Astor Piazolla - Four Seasons

Antonio Vivaldi - Four Seasons

The CinC Chamber Orchestra

Solo violin and director - Tamas Andras – co leader Royal Philharmonic Orchestra

It isn’t very often you can hear the famous Vivaldi Four Seasons alongside Piazolla’s exciting, vibrant and simply beautiful Four Seasons. The Piazolla Seasons have drama, beautiful melodies, and are rhythmically very exciting - a wonderful counterpoint to Vivaldi's much loved and well known Four Seasons. A rare treat indeed to hear both of these extraordinary works in one concert, played by such an impressive and expressive artiste.

Tamas’ virtuosity, musical intensity and integrity suit both styles of music to perfection.  With a handpicked selection of London’s finest string players drawn from the Royal Philharmonic, London Symphony, and Covent Garden Orchestras, the best freelance players on the circuit, and harpsichordist Adrienne Black – one of the Artistic Directors for Concerts in Caversham, this should be an evening to remember.
