The Caversham Ensemble is a versatile and fluid group of musicians brought together by Adrienne Black (piano and harpsichord), Timothy Watts (oboe), and Naomi Watts (cello) – professional musicians who have lived in the area for many years. They all have a wealth of experience performing chamber-music for music societies and festivals throughout the UK and abroad, as well as working with this country’s foremost orchestras and ensembles, and aim to bring together some of the finest musicians in the country for ‘Concerts in Caversham’.
To date The Caversham Ensemble has featured three finalists from the BBC Young Musician of the Year, and numerous principal players from The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, The London Sinfonietta, The Britten Sinfonia , the Halle Orchestra, the Oxford Philomusica and City of Oxford Orchestra.

The ensemble’s programmes range across many musical styles from Baroque to the 20th Century including a Jazz concert each year, in various combinations from duos and trios, through to a chamber orchestra of at least twelve players for the popular ‘Christmas Concert by Candlelight’.
